DASIG FLUX calculates greenhouse gases emission fluxes from chamber measurements using linear and non-linear equations. Some non-linearity is expected to occur while gas concentration changes inside the chamber due to varying gradients between the soil and the air in the chamber, and due to potential lateral gas flow or leakage.
DASIG defines objective criteria for choosing between the linear equation model or the non-linear model HMR. Combined with the quality control measures implemented in the determination of gas concentrations (KASOKU Module), DASIG implements a supervised inspection approach that allows scientists to verify data accuracy while avoiding manual data wrangling during flux calculation procedures.
